As a GNU/Linux n00b I got tired of asking the same questions over and over again and decided to map my progress of becoming a GNU/Linux user in a Wiki, so I can access the how-to information anytime I wish. The motivation behind this is pretty simple: in working with GNU/Linux there are certain actions that are not common or frequently executed (such as installing the system, setting it up, etc.). And when the time for such an action comes you usually forgot how to do them and have to bother some GNU/Linux crack in your immediate area. Well, no more of that - in this Wiki I will describe my progress of setting up and using Gentoo GNU/Linux and anytime I have to do one of these infrequent actions again, I'll be able to find all the information here.
Of course this Wiki is not only for my personal benefit, so feel free to send me pointers and corrections about anything I might get wrong. Moreover, it would be my hope that this information will help other n00bs in their striving toward the mastery of GNU/Linux. So, with any further ado … enjoy!
